First of all, FELICIDADES!

Whether it’s your birthday or you’re planning your daughter’s birthday, this is such a big milestone!

Planning your dream quinceañera is exciting! But are you overflowing with ideas and having a difficult time narrowing down the vision? That’s where I come in!


I am an event planner who just happens to own the cutest, pink venue in Worcester County! If you have in mind a dreamy pink quinceañera with your close friends, Haus of Art Studio in Worcester, MA is the venue for you! But if you are looking for a larger event with friends and family, either way I’ve got you covered.


After planning countless events from showers, birthdays and weddings I have learned a thing or two about getting those “viral” moments, fun experiences and cute aesthetics at parties. Here I’ll share with you some of my most important “Do’s and Don’ts” to keep in mind when planning your quince!

 

Without further ado…


Her are the DO’s.

1)     Do create a mood board! This can mean taking inspiration from social media, pinterest or your fav boutiques and pasting it all in a document. Once you have it all together pick out the common themes. What colors stick out? What emotion do you get? Is it romantic? Edgy? Elegant? Or Casual?

2)     Do pick out two main activities! The number one goal my clients always have is that their guest are entertained and having fun! Having at least two activities for your guest, that can be spread out throughout your event, will ensure that there are never any lulls. This can be a performance, a build your own cupcake bar, a charm bar or a 360 video booth etc. These unique touches will leave a lasting impression!

 

                                

3)     Do create a timeline of your day! Keeping an itinerary with times for hair, makeup and a list of vendors with arrival and contact info will help you stay on top of things.

Let’s face it, there are a lot of things to keep track of on the day of the event. I offer Day-of-Coordinator services that take the stress off you! 4)     Do have “instagramable” corners! Well, it doesn’t have to be a corner, but you know what I mean! Having cute stations or setting up a pretty backdrop for pictures is a fun way to have your guest up and out of their seats! From a pretty backdrop behind your cake, a photobooth or even a swing! Set up a few stations that match the aesthetic you’ve set for the party!

                                  

 

Now here are the DON’Ts

1)     Do NOT buy random decorations without first having your vision! If you have a budget in mind don’t waste money and time buying items that might not even fit the final vision. It’s better to land on a theme first and THEN shop till you drop!

2)     Do NOT take on more than you can do! We love a good DIY… but that being said DIY’ing 100% of your event is time consuming and can set you back a few hours the day of the quinceañero. If you must DIY, you must DELEGATE! Give different people pointed tasks so that the burden does not fall all on you.

3)     Do NOT skip on photography! You have put much time and effort into planning this special quinceañero, you’ll have your loved ones surrounding you, make sure you commemorate the moment! There are many creative ways to do this; set up disposable cameras on the tables and allow your guest to capture moments, it will be special to see the event through their lenses. There are also talented photographers looking to expand their portfolios that would love to shoot the event for low cost. Don’t be afraid to reach out to groups on social media.

4)     Lastly, DO NOT worry! Leave all the anxiety and worries behind. Relax, embrace the things that go well and even the ones that don’t go as expected, be in the moment…disfruta tu dia 😊
